Drawing on the experience of Dinamitri Jazz Folklore, which has made the African roots of blues its stylistic signature, two of its founding members, Dimitri Grechi Espinoza and Gabrio Baldacci, venture into desert territories and circular rhythms with a musical proposal that sees the collaboration, for the first time, with multi-instrumentalist Andrea Beninati on cello and drums. Espinoza’s experience with Tuareg and Berber musicians such as Tartit and Bombino, as well as Malian artists like Samba Tourè and Afel Bocoum, through his collaborations with the Festival au Désert in Timbuktu and Florence, makes this project primarily an open platform that welcomes contributions and influences from other cultures, both in composition and in live performances.
