One of the most exciting jazz trumpeters of today. Multiple Grammy-nominated, Theo Croker is a musician, composer, producer, and influencer. As the grandson of legendary trumpeter Doc Cheatham, Theo began performing in front of a jazz-loving audience during a memorial ceremony for his grandfather. Donald Byrd once said of him, “There are good or great musicians, but then there are phenomenal instrumentalists like Theo, who has the ability and intelligence to counteract the direction of Nu Music. Theo is one of today’s titans.” Theo Croker has built an impressive career by balancing a deep understanding of post-bop jazz tradition with his atmospheric blend of mystical jazz, funk, electronic, and hip-hop. Love Quantum, his latest album, is a fusion of spiritual funk, electronic R&B, and cosmic jazz. The warm and velvety sound of the trumpet may remind you of Miles Davis’ playing style.
